Ahoy my dear readers✋😃. In this week's post you will learn about flipped classroom approach. The flipped classroom approach is an innovative teaching method where students interact with instructional content such as videos or readings at home and use class time for interactive activities 😀. This method shifts the focus from passive to active learning, allowing students to explore concepts in depth during lessons. It can encourage speaking practice and collaboration in language classes, but it can create challenges for students who don’t have access to technology or who struggle with self-discipline. 😕
For our flipped classroom project, we created an video to teach tag questions. Our video combines an informative lesson with an interactive quiz designed to reinforce key concepts. Our primary goal is to create an engaging and accessible learning experience for all audiences 😎.
The process was not easy. Initially, we had a hard time choosing a suitable tool for video creation. After testing several options, we chose "shotcut" which offers user-friendly features and templates ✅. The division of labor was easy. We solved it with clear communication: two of us explained the topic and the other two went over the examples.
While creating the video, we used the screen recording feature of our own devices and recorded our voice with a voice recorder, then we were able to combine the image and audio seamlessly with "shotcut". This tool is essential in bringing your ideas to life. You can check it out from here.
The videos are now available on our blog! Click here to watch it. Watch the videos to discover our flipped classroom project and see how this approach can transform language learning! I also want to thank my friends Nisa Elmas, Yağmur Kavak and Polat Öztürk. You were excellent guys 💜💛💚.
As always, until next time, keep smiling and stay tuned for more edutainment 😉. Cheer!😄
